Nick joined Lincoln in 2015 from Zolfo Cooper/AlixPartners bringing with him 10 years’ experience providing employer covenant advice to trustees and employers. Prior to undertaking pensions work, he worked for PwC and Andersen, qualifying as a chartered accountant, before switching from audit to corporate finance and restructuring where he provided advice to lenders and corporates and qualified as an insolvency practitioner. His experience benefitted from secondments to the corporate credit teams of two high street banks and two major overseas projects.

An early six-month stint with Mercer helped to develop his understanding of employer covenant matters and the importance of working closely with fellow advisors to deliver solutions for schemes.
Nick has advised trustees and employers across the full range of situations from triennial valuations, employer M&A activity, changes of employer and financial distress to regulatory actions. Schemes have ranged in size from £1 million to more than £1 billion. Employers include listed UK and overseas groups, private equity situations, owner-managed groups and charities.
